Wine, wine and more wine...

Turns out Washington state has some pretty amazing wines. While we did the wine tour, Royce, Shayne, Chloe and Nate went to Rhonda and Frank's son, Ryan's home. They were treated to a little ATV riding and a bit of boating. They had a great time!! Thanks Ryan for watching the kids while we indulged in some glorious wine tasting!!

Nate loved riding the ATV

Our first stop was Chateau S.t. Michelle. http://www.ste-michelle.com/ What a beautiful piece of property! and some yummy wines!

Next we headed to Woodinville Whiskey Co. http://www.woodinvillewhiskeyco.com/ for some whiskey tasting. Thought we might change it up a bit. The men appeared to be in heaven, I think they all wanted to smoke cigars.

Then we were off to the Woodinville Warehouse Wineries. http://www.woodwarewine.com/ Forty wineries, distilleries and breweries with a one minute radius. Love it!! The first stop was by change. We were headed over to Kestrel Vintners and we all happen to group up in front of Bunnel Family Vintners. http://www.bunnellfamilycellar.com/ The girl came out and said she had really spectacular wine. Mike Cottle questioned the word "spectacular". So a challenge was on. We went in and surprisingly she did end up showing us "Spectacular"!

Just when we thought we were done, he pulled out a Super Tuscan for us to try and that was "amazing" and "spectacular" It was a marathon wine tasting experience at Bunnell!

Then off to Kestrel Vintners.  http://www.kestrelwines.com/  Rhonda and Frank are wine members there so we were able to go to the back room for some tasting. We also ordered a couple of cheese plates to snack on and wow!! The cheese plate also contained a salami from Salumi Artisan Cured Meats. We tried many of the wines but the one that was absolutely wonderful. It was their port wine and we called it "Heaven in  Bottle". Seems like we all bought a bottle!

We decided we wanted to have steak for dinner. The girls came back to the house while the men went to get kids and make a Costco run and purchase a beef tenderloin. Dinner was wonderful!!

Tomorrow, we head Seattle and Pike's Place Market!!
